Went shopping this morning… and couldn’t help but pick these shoes up for my brother. I think they’re really cute.

Two books that I’m reading at the moment…

The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch

- I admire this man for devoting the last moments of his life to such great and meaningful legacy. Check out his website and a video of The Last Lecture.

Julia Child – My Life in France

- Simply entertaining and a page turner

Randomness

August 28th, 2010

What’ve we been up to?

Let’s see… It’s Saturday night and I vowed I wanted a stay-in evening. So here I am, sitting on my white couch, blogging, checking out some online shopping, with the beautiful aroma of a steaming hot cup of Brazilian dark roast beside me. Oh and Two and A Half Men in the background. Simple pleasure.

This afternoon I went to have my Shiatsu therapy. Maybe it’s largely due to the weather but I’ve been feeling tired muscles lately. I think spring is on its way though, it’s been raining pretty much the last week or so. Anyway Zin went shopping at Collins while I was at Shiatsu, and came to meet me after to grab dinner. We had Vietnamese — food was OK but service ain’t good. I’m not even going to start.

Anyways… he’s out getting a few miscellaneous grocery bits that we’re missing (was preparing to make corn and fish chowder for tomorrow but needed some cream and stock)… very sweet of him. He’s also asking for this Indonesian style sago cake so I’m gonna try and whip one up in a bit. I find it cute when he craves for Indonesian food that I’ve been introducing to him. Once I taped him trying to read some words from a menu in Indo… I found it kinda funny but I don’t think he’d be too happy if I post it on here :p

Yesterday got off work at around 4.30pm… headed to St. Kilda Rd to meet up with Zin and his co-workers, then headed to Chapel St for some beer. Last Friday was off work at 4 and headed for beer after too but with my work mates. By the way, my new work is going well. :)

Before I forgot, I made this sushi rice with salmon sashimi for dinner last Sunday…

By the way here are some random shots…
