Where Have I Been All This While??

August 26th, 2009

Went to Crystal Mall again today to run some errands and as I was on the phone, walked by this music store. When I finished talking, I walked in to check out their theory books. My boyfriend, with his usual super observant eyes, then pointed out to me a piano that was exactly like the one I had in KL, except that mine was mahogany red and this one was black.

Guess what then… they had an option for rental for $42 PER MONTH. I had to ask them if the $42 on the sign was per day and the store guy looked at me with this look and he went… “No! It is for a month.”

Immediately I was like… “WHERE HAVE I BEEN ALL THIS WHILE???”

The transportation costs $150 BOTH WAYS, and $80 for tuning once they send it to your house. There is a minimum term of 3 months, and a deposit of $500.

O.M.G.

In KL, there was no rental option that I could find. Rental at Yamaha would mean RM20 (that’s roughly $6.xx Canadian $) FOR AN HOUR, and at their place. Could you blame me for presuming that the $42 here was for a day???

Although I really don’t know how long more I’m going to stay here for, that really left me thrilled for the rest of the afternoon! Yippee!!!

Anyways…

Grabbed a bag of donut peaches and a 1.5lb (about 0.75kg) tray of blueberries today.

And check these out…

I had the blueberry blossom donut and coffee at Tim Hortons this afternoon after shopping for the fruits.

And here are some pics from dinner at White Spot on Sunday evening.

We split a clam chowder for appie, a wild pacific salmon caesar salad for the main, and since towards the end there was still “some” room, I ordered a MINI hot fudge brownie. The MINI isn’t at all MINI in my dictionary. And holy was it ever so sweet. Seriously, things are overly sugared up here. I always find dessert here being way too sweet, including ice cream in a tub. Not sure if it has anything to do with that maple sugar thingy, because maple syrup is supposed to be very sweet yet a lot lower in calories compared to regular sugar. Don’t know. I’m not a fan of super sweet anyways.

So I took a while to finish up that supposedly small dessert. Was good though.

Totally Random

August 25th, 2009

Is it always about survival of the fittest?

NO.

More often than not, it is about the right thing happening at the right time. In other words, luck.

Anyways, woke up today to a rainy morning. I love it. I love rainy days, rain, and cloud.

What else do I love…

Sally Hansen nail care product line is totally awesome. I was never a nail person until I found Sally Hansen. My newest addition is this Maximum Growth Plus nourishing nail color in “Pure Puffy”. I absolutely love it. Glides on so smoothly, totally fuss-free, and the color is just so subtly… pinklicious.

That’s it for random rambling. I’m back to work.

Salad and Food Pics

August 23rd, 2009

I’m into salad and having light meals these days.

Not having the daily dose of fruits and vegs intake just doesn’t feel right…

Some pics of food, as usual.

Had this spinach, apple and crispy chicken salad along with chicken noodle soup for the side at iHop one hungry afternoon hehe :p We split the dish between the two of us, and the portion was just right for two.

On Friday, after my meeting, I spent the afternoon downtown. Grabbed a fresh salad and potato/egg salad with water from IGA and headed towards the water to have my lunch at the park with the best lunch view!! It was also rather cold and breezy that day. My kind of day!

Lunch

My fresh salad made up of fresh mandarin oranges, baby spinach, baby carrots, sweet corn, with raspberry vinaigrette dressing.

When we got to Kirin, it was packed and we were told that a table would only be available in 30 minutes. While waiting, we went to the tea house next door.
