snow in the summer

Went to Granville Island after VanDusen. I LOVE this place!!! It’s like… everything is available here. There is so much diversity, and there is more than what you can browse and see in one visit.

First off, went to the gift shops. Picked up several post cards from one of the shops.

Went around the market, can’t resist to take these pictures of the flowers on sale. Went to have lunch at the food court, then picked up a cup of Papua New Guinea coffee before heading back. Everything was so good!

Saturday. Raining. Cold.

Today is the official opening of the Vancouver Cherry Blossoms Festival (http://vcbf.ca).

We headed to VanDusen Botanical Garden for the festival. The sakuras are yet to bloom, as weather is still very chilly. We didn’t go into the garden because it was all branches and twigs. Decided to come back in a couple more weeks.

Thursday. 8°C max. 3°C in the evening.

Took CC out for a walk in the afternoon (CC is SzeZin’s 14-year-old Pekingese).

Getting him ready with the leash, collar and stuff…

Headed downtown to have coffee at Bellagio Cafe. It was Juno’s night so downtown was crowded with street parties. The party atmosphere, however, is nothing like Sydney’s. Not even close.

I love the ambience inside Bellagio.

And some yam fries which taste more like Asian’s sweet potatoes.

Headed to TD Towers for the trading group meetup at 6.30. It went for 2 hours or so. After the meeting, we went to have dinner. Guu’d was full so we went to Zakkushi Charcoal Grill. The food was so yummy I just had to take pictures of all of ‘em!

We had rice balls, pork wrapped with sticky rice and cheese, beef tounge, chicken heart, etc. Yum~!

Went to Guildford today. Picked up a pack of big fat strawberries (907g for $4.39!), Jalapeno chips, cinnamon roll, muffins, etc.
